Under the implicit hypothesis of "innovation capabilities are developed in a single and continuous way", the exant literature on levaraging mechanisms of firm's innovation capabilities shows its weakness in explaining the phenomena of successful firms being driven out of markets by emergying firms between day and night. The present research puts firms' innovation capabilities' development into balancing processes between continuous and discontinous developments for a firm's sustainability. Form an ambidexterity perspective, the present research explores the ambidextrous connotation of firms' innovation capabilities and identifies their dimensions with inspiration of principle of conjugation of basic-elements of Extenics. Based on the core concept development, the continuous and discontinuous ways of innovation capabilities' development are explored, respectively, based on evolutionary logic and cognitive logic. Finally, breaking the research routine of "one antecedent with ambidextrous characteristic produce one outcome" used in current research, we adopt the hypothesis of "each facet of organizational ambidexterity may be produced from different antedents respectively other than that of 'one ambidextrous cause, one ambidextrous effect'" , which implies that multiple antecedents may interact to produce one outcome, namely, organizational ambidexterity. Then, based on an integrative framework of evolutionary logic and cognitive logic, the present research explores the leveraging mechanisms of firms' innovation capabilities with environment dynamics as moderators. Multiple methods are adopted to conduct the research, including case-study, simulation based on Systematic Dynamics, statistical approaches, and so on. The methodology of combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches will provide more holistic and deeper insights into the development machanisms of firms' innovation capabilities and be beneficial to acquire robust research findings. The present research will contribute to the theories of firm innovaiton, firm competence-based theories and organization ambidexterity. Furthermore, the research findings will provide theoretical base and novel mindsets to solve the "innovator's dilemma" by shifting the mindset from contraditory to paradoxical compatibility with the guidance of parodoxical dynamics.
现有研究多在"能力发展是连续性单一模式"的隐性假设下探讨创新能力提升机理,不能解释一些成功企业朝夕之间失败的现象。本课题将创新能力提升机理置于企业发展的连续与变革平衡中考察,在组织二元性视角下,运用演化逻辑与认知逻辑整合的框架对其进行研究。首先,借鉴可拓学中基元共轭性分析框架,从悖论动力学角度解构企业创新能力内在构成;然后,分别基于演化逻辑与认知逻辑,揭示创新能力的连续性与非连续性发展特征;最后,突破"一因一果"式二元性研究思路,在"多因"分别作用于二元性"两个侧面"达成"二元性"的假设下,整合演化逻辑与认知逻辑,对动态环境中二元性创新能力发展机理与提升策略进行研究。 运用案例研究、计算机仿真与定量分析等方法,本课题以悖论动力学的思路,转矛盾对立为矛盾相容,对企业创新能力提升机理进行全面、深入研究,不仅对企业能力理论、创新理论以及组织二元性理论有所贡献,也为破解"创新者窘境"提供崭新思路。
经济全球化日益加深、竞争日益加剧的今天,创新已经成为企业“必须”而非“可选”。如何有效提升企业创新能力,是关系到我国经济发展方式能否顺利转型的战略性问题。当前,我国企业普遍认识到创新的重要性,但在如何创新并实现高质量发展却显得有心无力。本课题从演化逻辑与认知逻辑及其整合框架研究企业创新能力构建与发展规律。首先基于可拓学的共轭理论对我国企业创新能力的理论内涵、内在结构与测量方法进行探索,搭建出整个课题研究的构念基础。其次,分别从以知识/经验积累为核心的演化逻辑以及以管理者认知为核心的认知逻辑,探索企业创新能力的连续性演化与非连续变革的内在机理。最后,基于管理者认知、资源积累及其交互的视角,探索企业特定内外制度特征下的企业创新能力提升规律。本课题进行了多轮问卷调查,采用定量分析方法分别探索知识积累、高管认知对企业创新能力及其内在结构的影响方式、机理与路径。同时,走访并追踪典型企业、采用系统动力学仿真方法,展现企业创新能力发展的动态过程。最后提出我国企业创新能力内生性演化发展与结构性变革的策略,为政府相关政策设计与制定提供了理论建议。本课题研究深化了创新理论与企业能力理论,丰富了管理认知理论与知识管理理论,拓展了组织双元理论与企业制度理论。
