This research mainly focuses on some selected problems in image processing by using different nonlinear tools such as: fractals, iterated system, wavelets, fuzzy integrals, PDE, etc. The mentioned problems related with image processing are: image metric related to human vision, inverse process of a sort of L-systems, image matching based on their fractal codes, image analysis by using PDE, fractal interpolation and construction of wavelet packets, image retrieval based on their image contents, fractal-based coding of color images, etc. Our original research results include: fuzzy image metric related to human vision, inverse L-system process, image matching based on their fractal codes, constructing nonorthogonal wavelet packets with r scaling functions, etc. All these innovative achievements will be valuable references for other researchers in the similar fields.
本项目主要研究如何把数学和非线性科学中的新成果和新方法运用到图像信息处理领域。该课题在结合传统图像处理技术的基础上,针对目前几种主要的非线性图像编码方法进行深入研究,探索它们之间的本质联系,并在深刻分析图像表示及其性质的基础上将其融合成新的低码率图像编码策略。该项目的研究将对我国日益发展的信息技术中有重要意义并有十分广泛的应用价值。
