The double institutional environments differences between the countries and the organizations and the uncertainty resulting up from these, which are the inevitable problems the multinational enterprises have to face when making decisions in its host country. In view of the existing literatures are mostly based on the single perspective (country level or organizational level) to explore the multinational enterprises’ decision-making behaviors in its host country, there are some limitation in the research results. So this study will on the basis of the existing research, by means of case study method, try to build a conceptual model in two dimensions of institutional distance and institutional logic about multinational enterprises’ making-decisions in its host country. Then based on the study, illustrate the Chinese multinational enterprises’ institutional isomorphism and institutional innovation strategy choice mechanism in the process of facing the internal and external institutional environments pressure in its host country; refine the typical facts and the related results of trade-off between passive institutional isomorphism and positive institutional innovation. And construct the evaluation and measurement systems of the institutional strategy implementation effects, using empirical data,systematically test the Chinese multinational enterprises’ institutional isomorphism and institutional innovation strategy choice mechanism in its host country and the related implementation effects, and then put forward relevant policy suggestions. This studies as well as can provide the new theoretical basis and the experiences support for Chinese multinational enterprises’ making-decisions in its host country, and can show the reference solutions for the more suitable management practices.
国家和组织层面双重制度环境差异,以及由此产生的不确定性是跨国企业东道国市场投资决策及经营管理过程中不可规避的首要问题。鉴于现有文献大多基于单一视角(国家层面或组织层面)探究跨国企业东道国市场行为决策问题,研究成果略有局限,本课题拟将在现有研究基础上,借助案例研究方法尝试构建制度距离、制度逻辑双维度下跨国企业东道国市场策略选择概念模型;在此基础上,系统阐释中国跨国企业兼顾东道国市场内、外部制度环境压力过程中制度同构与制度创新策略选择机制,提炼被动性制度同构与主动性制度创新间权衡及其相关效果的典型化事实;并系统构建制度性策略实施效果评价及测度体系,对中国跨国企业东道国市场制度同构与制度创新策略决策机制及其实施效果予以经验数据验证;继而提出相关政策建议。本课题研究既可为中国跨国企业东道国市场行为决策提供新的理论依据及经验证明,更可为其采取适宜性管理实践提供可参照方案。
伴随越来越多以中国为代表的新兴市场国家跨国企业在发达国家东道国市场开展对外直接投资活动,母国与东道国间制度环境差距以及由此产生的制度逻辑冲突使得跨国企业海外子公司往往面临来自母国(母公司)和东道国间的双重制度逻辑压力(冲突),在此背景下海外子公司如何通过相应的制度性安排协调母公司与东道国利益相关者间的制度逻辑冲突成为当前跨国公司理论研究和实践迫切需要回答的议题。本项目研究聚焦于制度逻辑理论视角,选取不同制度逻辑间竞争关系及竞争持续性为研究切入点,系统梳理制度双元情境下跨国企业海外子公司制度逻辑冲突响应机制,识别主导性制度逻辑胜出和单边制度逻辑面临危机(缺失)与机遇情境下的MNES双向响应模式类型,并进而借助制度环境稳定状态下三阶段分析、制度环境稳定与否两状态推演,进一步揭示从“单一同构”到“同存创新”的演进路径。相关研究结论对当前制度复杂环境下中国跨国企业海外子公司的运营管理、行为决策具有一定的指导作用及借鉴价值。
