During the past few years there have been a large number of new hadron resonance structures observed in experiment (i.e. the so-called X, Y, Z states and other heavy flavor baryons). Some of these states can hardly be interpreted by the conventional quark model, and could be candidates for exotic hadrons, such as multiquark state, hybrid, or hadronic molecule. Experimental and theoretical studies of these states have become a hot topic in the frontier of hadron physics and those experimental results have attracted a lot of efforts from theorists in order to understand their internal structures. In China, there have been a group of active theorists working on the relevant issues and some of their works have gained international recognitions from the community. We are motivated to enhance our research force by organizing an advanced working group on exotic hadrons under the help of the NSFC finance support. We will try to pinning down key questions in the study of exotic hadrons, develop and identify methods which are appropriate and effective for treating non-perturbative QCD phenomena, and extract phenomenological information for non-perturbative effects. We will also try to exploit new criteria which are more sensitive and suitable for revealing the exotic nature of those new hadrons. Such an effort should be useful and supportive for the BEPCII/BESIII physics analysis and may guide the experimental search for exotic hadrons. It is also crucial for our gaining much deeper insights into the strong QCD dynamics in the non-perturbative regime.
近年来在高能物理的实验中观察到很多新的强子共振态(称为X、Y、Z粒子和其它的重味重子等),其中部分态的特征很难利用传统的组分夸克模型来解释,而更有可能是奇特强子态(例如:多夸克态、混杂态、或者是强子分子态等)的候选者。关于这些强子态的研究是近年来强子物理领域的国际前沿热点课题,吸引了众多国际理论家的注意。我国有一支在国际上很活跃的理论研究力量在这个领域开展理论研究,并取得了很多有国际影响的成果。我们期望集中国内相关的理论研究力量,在理论物理专款项目支持下开展“奇特强子态”高级研讨,突出关键问题,进一步发展和确认更为恰当和有效的处理非微扰QCD效应的方法,获取非微扰QCD效应的唯象信息,提取能更有效地表征奇特强子态性质的新判据,为实验上(包括我国的BEPCII/BESIII)寻找奇特强子态提供理论指导和支持,这对进一步完善强相互作用理论在非微扰能区的性质是至关重要的。
