院士专家大学中学行系列数学科普活动

The Working Group on Mathematics Culture, Mathematics Popularization and Mathematics Education within the Leadership Group of Tianyuan Foundation has confirmed to launch a program involving a series of activities being carried out by a group of Academicians and established scholars in China to students and young teachers in Middle Schools and Universities. These activities are in the form of seminars. Academicians, established scholars and mathematics educators in China will be invited to deliver these seminars in middle schools and universities. The aim is to stimulate the interest and passion in mathematics amongst students in middle schools and universities as well as young teachers. These seminars will be in the form of specific topics, focusing on historical development trajectories of mathematics, latest advancement of mathematics, stories and famous figures in the development of mathematics, mathematics in culture and arts, and mathematics in real life applications.

院士专家大学中学行系列数学科普活动是数学天元基金领导小组数学文化、数学传播和数学教育工作组在重庆会议上确定的一项工作，目的是通过这项工作的开展，提高我国大中学生和青年教师的数学素养和对数学的兴趣。这项工作以讲座为主，将邀请国内的数学院士专家和数学教育家到中学、大学进行一系列专题讲座，从数学进步的历史轨迹、数学最新进展、数学典故、数学人物、文学或艺术中的数学、数学在生活中的应用等多角度切入，分专题讲解。

院士专家大学中学行系列数学科普活动是数学天元基金领导小组数学文化、数学传播和数学教育工作组于2014年10月在重庆会议上确定的一项工作，目的是通过这项工作的开展，提高我国大中学生和青年教师的数学素养和对数学的兴趣。本项目代表数学天元基金领导小组数学文化、数学传播和数学教育工作组于2015年3月开始与中国数学会和中国运筹学会两个普及委员会共同设施。这个项目主要集中在北京（科学院为主）、上海（上海大学为主）和重庆（重庆师范大学为主）进行，先后组织了20多位院士专家到大学和中学给老师与同学介绍数学的思想、方法及其应用，通过这个项目的实施，获得了很好效果。
