In this project, we have proposed a numerical method forsolving unsteady incompressible Navier-Stokes equations usingmulti-block and dynamic grid techniques. The velocity-pressure coupling.is handled by higher order projection method. By applying this method,the unsteady flow field around a flying insect is simulated and therelations between the flapping and the flow structures are studied.Supported by this project, some researches on shock capturing scheme for.compressible flow have also been carried out.
