Heterogeneous Wireless Mesh Networks (HWMN) have characteristics such as infrastructure independent, strong survivability and strict Quality of Service (QoS) requirement, and so on. They are suitable for emergency rescue and battlefield communications. However, till now, there is no definition and measurement on the heterogeneity of the HWMN. Most researchs are based on the assumption that the node structure of the network is already known, and channels available are fixed. This assumption may not be true in real implementation for dynamic enviornment. This project proposes that a node structure description scheme would be needed for the HWMN. This project will research the high efficiency node description structure, and the spreading scheme of the structure. With the help of node structure description, the heterogeneity of HWMN could be defined and measured. This project may research on the extraction measure of the network characteristics based on node structure description and metric of heterogeneity, find solutions that facilitate the network characteristics to improve routing efficiency, to establish end to end virtual link. It is anticipated that breakthrough will be taken on the node structure description and efficiency transmission, heterogeneity metric calculation, features and characteristics analysis of node structure and heterogeneity metric, and so on. This project would set up theoretical basis for the definition, measurement and application of the heterogeneity of the ubiquitous networks, and search for the suitable technical methods and solutions.
异构无线网状网具有不依赖基础设施、抗毁性强、用户QoS等级明显等特点,适合应急抢险与战场通信。迄今为止,异构无线网状网的异构性尚没有明确的定义和度量依据。现有的异构无线网状网研究大多假设节点结构已知,信道数确定。研究结论在可用信道不断变化的现实环境下缺乏灵活性和通用性。课题研究将摆脱对节点结构先验知识的依赖,通过设计高效的节点结构描述机制,研究快速的节点结构描述传播方法,并基于结构描述给出无线网状网异构性度量的定义,推导异构性度量的计算方法。课题还将依托结构描述与异构性度量的性质分析研究网络结构特征的提取方法,探索归纳网络结构特征在高效路由策略、跨异构网端到端虚链路建链等领域的应用方法,争取在节点结构描述与高效传播、异构性度量计算方法、网络和节点结构特征提取与异构性度量性质分析及其应用等问题上取得突破,为更广义的异构网络的异构性定义、度量方法与应用奠定理论基础,探索技术途径与实现方法。
异构无线网状网是未来无线网络的重要发展趋势之一,具有很强的国防应用背景。课题贴合国防装备的实际,研究了具有潜在异构性表达能力的数学模型,研究了无线网状网结构描述和表达方法、传播方法,以及无线网状网节点结构描述对于性能的提升方法。课题研究提出的“先发现网络节点结构再发现网络拓扑”的思想和具体的算法能够根据国防装备的实际情况,适用于各种不同条件下的异构无线网状网组网场景,对于提高异构无线网状网组网效率,提高组网能力具有较好的应用价值。课题思想已应用于XX十二五预研课题,有效提高了组网效率,课题验收评价为“优秀”。课题发表论文25篇。其中,SCI检索源期刊论文7篇,EI检索论文10篇,申请专利11项,授权4项。课题研究成果对于异构无线网中海量异构节点组网的性能提升提供了新的思路和方法。
