Visual and auditory senses are important means for the human brain to acquire information from the outside world. Through the integration of multisensory information, the human brain obtains understanding of the outside world. So far, the integration mechanism of audio-visual information in the human brain is still unclear. In this project, we would adopt the event-related potential approach and design new experimental paradigms to study the temporal integration, spatial integration, as well as the spatial-temporal integration in the processing of audio-visual information in the human brain by analyzing ERP (event-related potential) components, such as P/N, amplitude, latency, scalp distribution and source localization. We intend to build the theoretical models of integration mechanism of multisensory information, and further reveal the cognitive laws of the human brain, so as to provide theoretical and methodological supports for intelligence fusion of information from multi-sensor.
视觉和听觉是人脑从外界获取信息的重要手段,人脑通过对多感官信息的整合形成对外部世界的认识。但迄今为止,视听觉信息认知整合的人脑神经机制还不甚清楚。本项目拟采用事件相关电位研究方法,通过设计新型的实验范式,对人脑认知过程中的ERP (event-related potential)成分的极性、振幅、潜伏期、头皮分布和源定位等进行分析,研究视听觉信息加工过程中的时间整合和空间整合的脑神经机制,以及时空整合的相关性,从而构建视听觉信息加工过程的时空整合理论模型,进一步揭示人脑的认知规律,从而为多传感器信息融合提供理论与方法依据。
