PIV was firstly applied to the easurements of the flow fields of the shroulded impeller in a centrifugal pump. The actural flow field and the exact postion of low velocity were brought out. At the same time, the inlet flow of axis-pump was measured. Through numerical simution, the flow was computed. The measurement and computation results can help people to improve level of the pump design.
