The pressure distribution of elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL) film and the stress in the friction pair are the fundamental issues of EHL research. There have been enormous progresses both in theoretical modeling and in numerical research since the first solution to an EHL problem brought out. Maps of film thickness, pressure and temperature can be simultaneously or separately obtained by numerically solving the EHL model. However, the pressure measurement problem is not been solved well, because there is no satisfied method to acquire the transient pressure distribution of EHL film and the stress in the friction pair. .By combining the photoelastic measurement technique, the applicant proposes to adopt the photoelastic experimental technology to measure the pressure distribution of EHL film and the stress in the friction pair. .The detail research contents include: to establish the photoelastic experimental model of EHL, to study on experimental mechanism of photoelastic-EHL, to set up a flat photoelastic pressure measure rig for research on the EHL problem in line contact and a 3-dimension photoelastic pressure rig for research on the EHL problem in point contact, to map the pressure distribution, particularly for transient pressure distribution of EHL film and the stress in the friction pair, and finally to modify the photoelastic experimental model of EHL..The research results will clarify the EHL film carrying mechanism, reveal the lubrication failure mechanism, and guide tribological design as well to prepare the friction pair and to evaluate the lubrication property.
弹流润滑摩擦副接触区内部及摩擦副间油膜压力的准确测量是弹流润滑领域的基础问题,本项目组前期研究发现虽然弹流润滑的理论建模及数值模拟分析水平已经达到了很完善的水平,建立的理论模型能计算出弹流润滑的膜厚、压力及温升分布,但弹流润滑实验测量问题尚未完全解决,弹流润滑接触区的油膜及摩擦副内部压力分布尚无理想的测量方法。申请人结合当前光弹性测试技术发展,提出用光弹性方法进行弹流润滑油膜压力分布和摩擦副内部压力分布测量研究。研究内容包括:弹流润滑光弹性实验模型建立、弹流润滑光弹性实验机理研究、弹流润滑光弹性实验分析研究,针对点接触和线接触弹流润滑,搭建三维和平面弹流润滑光弹实验台,测量出对应弹流润滑油膜压力分布及摩擦副内部压力分布,对弹流润滑光弹实验模型进行验证。研究成果对进一步阐明弹流油膜承载机制,揭示摩擦副的失效机理,对摩擦学设计、润滑设计的性能评价具有重要的指导意义。
