Firm's technological competitive advantage building, to some extent, depends upon the speed of technological innovation. In Chinese telecom manufacturing firms, the long R&D time cycle greatly leads to the low competitiveness in the worldwide telecom manufacturing industry. Therefore, the main objective of this project is to build quick product innovation system based upon interaction between firm and customers in Chinese telecom manufacturing firms. Concretely, the components and structure of this system are explored. Importantly, the policies for Chinese telecom manufacturing firms to realize quick product innovation by outside-in approach are presented. In detail, first, the project explores the current situation and problems of CTMFs' quick innovation system by in-depth investigation and case study. Second, it presents the quick product innovation system based upon firm-customer interaction. Third, it presents the process and model of lean development in Chinese telecom manufacturing firms. Fourth, the project discusses the support subsystems of 'outside-in' approach quick innovation system. Finally, the policies for Chinese telecom manufacturing firms are suggested based on the case analysis
