With this proposal, we are going to perform the Dalitz-plot analysis of the charmed-meson decay channels, D+ -> K+ K- π+ and D+ -> KS0 K+ π0, using a ψ(3770) sample of 2.92 fb-1 accumulated with the BESIII detector. Both of the channels are singly Cabibbo suppressed (SCS). Analyzing their intermediate resonances with Dalitz plot, not only we can study the relevant CKM elements, but also can explore the dynamics of the decays, including interference patterns, final state interactions and so on. Therefore it provides a powerful way to test the quark model of decays of heavy flavor mesons. In addition, CP violation in SCS decays of charm mesons is sensitive to new physics. Measurements of charge asymmetry of the decays is a unique way to search for new physics. The techniques developed within this proposal can be used to study other multi-body, not limited to three-body, decays of charm mesons.
本项目拟利用北京谱仪Ⅲ采集的2.92 fb-1 ψ(3770) 数据样本,对粲介子衰变道D+ -> K+ K- π+ 和 D+ -> KS0 K+ π0进行达利兹图的分析研究。这两道都是单重Cabibbo压制的,通过达利兹图分析它们的中间共振态,不但可以研究相关的CKM矩阵元,而且能够揭示衰变过程的动力学机制,比如干涉效应、末态相互作用等,从而有效地检验重味介子衰变的夸克模型。此外,粲介子单重Cabibbo压制衰变道的CP破坏对新物理敏感,测量这些衰变过程的电荷不对称性是寻找新物理的独特途径。该项目的研究方法可以应用于粲介子的其他多体衰变过程,且不限于三体。
粲介子的强子衰变过程提供了弱力和强力之间相互影响的信息,对其精确的实验研究一方面可以检验标准模型,另一方面也有助于发现新物理。其中带电粲介子的单重卡比博压制(singly Cabibbo-suppressed, SCS)过程具有独特性,它同时具有树图和企鹅图衰变过程的贡献,两者干涉可产生直接的CP破坏,标准模型预言的量级为E-3;而卡比博偏好(Cabibbo-favoured)道和双重卡比博压制(doubly Cabibbo-suppressed)道主要是树图贡献,预期CP不变。..本项目利用BESIII实验在质心系能量3.773 GeV处采集的2.93 /fb的正负电子对撞数据,对四个带电粲介子SCS衰变道D+ -> K0S K+ (π0) 和 K0L K+ (π0) 进行了实验研究。我们通过粲双标记法测得它们的绝对分支比分别为B(D+ -> K0S K+) = (3.02 ± 0.09 ± 0.08)‰、B(D+ -> K0S K+ π0) = (5.07 ± 0.19 ± 0.23)‰、B(D+ -> K0L K+) = (3.21 ± 0.11 ± 0.11)‰ 和 B(D+ -> K0L K+ π0) = (5.24 ± 0.22 ± 0.22)‰,其中误差的第一项和第二项分别为统计误差和系统误差。第一个分支比与世界平均值一致,而其余三个分支比是首次测量。我们还对它们的CP不对称性进行了测量,并且针对三体末态达利兹图的不同区域进行了测量,未发现直接的CP破坏,与理论计算一致。..本项目研究的结果有助于理解SU(3)的味对称性及其破坏机制,并对粲介子的强子衰变过程的CP破坏研究提供依据。
