This project focuses on the key factors in the transition from healthy aging to abnormal aging process, i.e., degenerative diseases in important tissues and organs by clarifying common mechanisms of aging and degenerative changes in tissues and organs and molecular bases of specific changes in organs. Revolving around the general goal of the regulation mechanisms of organ aging and the transition from aging to degenerative diseases, this study focuses on the common and specific questions in the transition from aging to degenerative diseases in different organs, with molecular abnormalities and cellular senescence as the starting point. Based on this project, we aim to elucidate the molecular switches and regulatory networks involved in organ aging and degeneration, expound the internal and external environmental driving factors and key targets for regulating the transition from aging to degenerative diseases, establish an early prediction and diagnosis system, and target intervention strategy for aging and age-related diseases based on multi-dimensional novel biomarkers, ultimately and dramatically improving China's overall aging-related research level in this field. The grant is to support the special events including investigation, evaluation, annual exchange and international cooperation for the committee of this program.
本项目以明确组织器官衰老及退行性变化的共性机制和器官特异性改变的分子基础等前沿科学问题为导向,聚焦重要组织器官衰老向退行性变化演变的关键因素。围绕器官衰老及其向退行性变化演变的调控机制的总目标,以分子异常、细胞衰老、器官退变为切入点,针对不同器官衰老向退行性变化演变的共性和个性问题开展研究。明确器官衰老和退行性变的分子开关和调控网络,阐述调控器官衰老向退行性变化演变的内外环境驱动因素和关键靶点,建立基于多维度新型生物标志物的衰老和衰老相关疾病早期预测和诊断体系及靶向干预策略,最终实现我国在该研究领域的整体研究水平跨越式发展。该项申请经费主要用于专家组调研考察、组织评审、年度交流和国际合作经费以及其它所需经费。
