Chinese society is faced with serious social problems nowadays caused by aging population and senile diseases. And healthy aging is a common demand of human society. The key early stage of development from organic aging to age-related diseases is the transformation from organic aging to degeneration, making prevention of process from organic aging to degeneration the crux of controlling age-related diseases. This project aims to throw light on the common mechanism of organic aging and degeneration as well as the specific changes of organs. We will focus on early stage of process from organic aging to degeneration of important organs (brain, cardiovascular system, kidney and blood system, etc.) and work out variation of the related molecules, cells and functions. By expounding the regulatory mechanism of transformation from organic aging to degeneration and improving our understanding of occurrence and development of age-related diseases, we will further establish a coping strategy of age-related diseases. This project will support relevant investigation, survey and academic communications and meetings on understanding the mechanism of organic aging and degeneration.
人口老龄化和老年病是中国社会面临的重大社会问题,而健康老龄化是人类社会共同的需求。器官衰老及向退行性变化的演变是机体器官由衰老向老年相关疾病发展的早期关键阶段。防止器官衰老及向退行性变的演变是防治衰老相关疾病的关键。本研究旨在明确组织器官衰老及退行性变化的共性机制和器官特异性改变。聚焦于重要人体组织器官(脑、心血管、肾脏以及血液系统等)衰老及其向退行性变化演变的早期过程,明确器官衰老和器官退行性变化相关的分子、细胞和功能变化特征,阐述器官衰老及向退行性变化演变的调控机制,加强对衰老相关疾病发生发展的认识,并进一步建立衰老相关疾病的应对策略。本项目用于支持器官衰老与器官退行性变化的机制研究指导专家组调研和学术交流。
