Self-assembly is the process of spontaneously building highly ordered structures from building blocks, which is driven by non-covalent interactions. It is also an important approach for creating new materials and new functions. The fundamental question for the research of self-assembly is to reveal the nature and rules of non-covalent interactions. In addition, the control over self-assembly process and the fabrication of self-assembly systems with specific functions are supposed to be realized. With the guidance of theoretical research as well as the support of characterization techniques, the key research project is aimed to reveal the nature and rules of self-assembly process, to fabricate novel functional building blocks, to establish new methods for controllable multi-level and multi-component self-assemblies, and to develop function-oriented new self-assembly systems and techniques. This program is applying for special funding on study on current development and perspectives of the field of controllable self-assembling systems and their functionalization and organization of scientific symposiums for the key research project.
自组装是组装基元通过弱键相互作用自发地形成特定结构的过程,是创造新物质和产生新功能的重要手段。自组装研究的基本问题是揭示组装基元间的弱键相互作用的本质和协同规律,在此基础上实现对自组装过程的调控,并制备具有特定功能的自组装体系。本重大研究计划以理论研究为指导,以表征技术为支撑,旨在揭示自组装过程的本质和规律,发展各种新颖的功能组装基元,建立多层次、多组份的可控自组装新方法,发展功能导向的自组装新体系和新技术。本项目用于支持“可控自组装体系及其功能化”重大研究计划指导专家组调研和学术交流。
