This project investigates the collaboration and optimization of remanufacturing supply chains with disparities in consumer willingness to pay, from the perspective of enterprise decision-makers. With the remanufacturing supply chain as the object of study, this study integrates the features of consumer willingness to pay, describes the related factors and the formation mechanism, and depicts their mapping (functional) relations. This project considers the impacts of product prices on recycling mode, inventory optimization, web design, marketing and many others; it explores the impacts of the product quality on the optimal pricing and the choices of quality levels; it investigates the impacts of the channel preference on the strategic choices of competitive members and the decisions of services; it looks at the impacts of the attitudes towards risks on production optimization and the construction of flexible supply chains; and it examines the impacts of the guidance of low carbon and the awareness of environmental protection on resource allocation and coordinated optimization. In this project, the resource allocation in remanufacturing enterprises is conceived as the decision variable; the factors of product prices, product quality, channel preference, the attitudes toward risks and the social environment are considered as status variables; the conditions of economy and environment in remanufacturing supply chains are viewed as goal constraints; the profit maximization in remanufacturing supply chains are taken as objective functions, multi-objective models of decision making and optimization in remanufacturing supply chains are deduced and constructed through theoretical modeling and empirical analyses, thus formulating corporate decision making and optimization schemes. This study aims to enrich a growing body of knowledge relating to the management of remanufacturing supply chains and provide some guidance on the operation of remanufacturing supply chains.
