天元数学交流项目—国际群表示及其应用研讨班

Group representation theory is the core field of algebra, and has important and far-reaching relations with other fields such as topology, algebraic geometry, and number theory. The group representation theory was born more than a century ago, and there are still many important long-standing problems and conjectures in this area. Recent breakthroughs have brought hope to solve some problems, and the latest results of group representation theory have helped to make substantial progress in many applications..This workshop intends to invite experts in group representation theory to conduct special lectures and seminars on the new developments and new directions of group representation theory and its applications, with the aim of promoting in-depth exchanges and cooperation between experts in China and abroad.

群表示理论是代数的核心领域，与拓扑，代数几何，数论等领域有着重要而深远的联系。群表示理论诞生于一个多世纪以前，其中仍然存在许多长期悬而未决的基本问题和基本猜想。最近的突破使人们看到了解决一些问题的希望，而且群表示理论的最新结果也有助于在众多应用中取得实质性进展。本次研讨班拟邀请国内外群表示论研究方面的专家，就群表示及其应用的新发展、新方向开展专题讲座与研讨，旨在促进国内外数学家就前沿领域的热点问题进行深度交流与合作。
