The dyeing of substrates with dyes containing actived carboxylic groups is being more and more important. In this project, two kinds of application of these dyes are studied. One is flurescent bio-labling with N-4'-carboxylbenzyl -3,3-dimethyl -3H-indolines cyanine dyes via N-hydroxyl succinimido ester. The light-stability of the dyes are much better than ordinary cyanine dyes. The lowest concentration of labled BSA is 1.44×10-17 mol/L by laser-induced detector in HPLC. Another is as photo-sensitizers in the nanocrystalline photovoltaic solar cells (NPC). 4,4'-Dicarboxyl-2,2'-bipyridines are coordinated Ru or Re forming complex dyes. Anchoring electron-donating groups to the pyridine legands, the "back electron transfer" is bated. It is very important for improving the incident photon-to-current conversion efficiency.
活性染料染色时约有30%变为水解染料不能回收使用,形成上亿吨有色废水污染环境。本研究将金羧酸作为染料活性基,在加热时快速形成环酐与纤维反应而染色,未上染的染料在染色中水解为原多羧酸活性染料循环使用。这对消除活性染料环境污染,实现涤棉等混纺的一浴一步染色,或与多羧酸化学整理同步进行,提高生产效率,具有重要战略意义。
