企业国际化能力跃迁机制与路径：基于知识导向与制度距离视角的研究

Despite currently facing a very difficult time and the very high failure rate, the investment of Chinese enterprises to the developed countries by the way of mergers and acquisitions still grows rapidly. The existing international theories fail to explain such phenomena. Thus, we turn to a dual perspective of knowledge-orientation and institutional distance and propose a new research framework, which focuses on enterprises' internationalization capability, to explore the evolution path and transition mechanisms of the improvement of capabilities during enterprises' internationalization. First of all, basing on defining the construct of internationalization capability, we construct a multi-level evaluation model of internationalization capability. Second, we compare the motivation of internationalization between firms from developed countries and from developing countries. Then, we explore the effectiveness of international entry mode from the perspective of knowledge acquisition, and examine the effects of different entry modes on the acquisition of different types and attributes of knowledge, and on the process of knowledge transfer and combination. Third, from the paradigm of knowledge-ability, we construct a conceptual framework, incorporating institutional distance, international knowledge acquisition, transfer and combination, and internationalization capability. Finally, we operationalize the relevant constructs and empirically examine the conceptual framework in the internationalization context. Basing on the findings of the empirical examination, we try to open the "black box" between knowledge and capability, reveal the transition mechanisms of internationalization capability, as well as underscore the disturbing effect of institutional distance. This study may advance the internationalization theory by exploring the internationalization process of enterprises from developing countries and guide the enterprises and government to formulate and improve the effective strategy on the improvement of international capability.

尽管国际化经营举步维艰、失败率极高，但中国企业对发达国家的投资并购仍高速增长。现有国际化理论对此解释乏力。因此，本研究转向知识导向和制度距离双重视角，提出以能力为逻辑归宿的新研究框架，重点探析企业国际化能力提升的演进路径与跃迁机制。首先，在界定国际化能力内涵的基础上，构造多层次的能力分析评判模型；其次，通过对国际化动因的比较研究，从知识获取的角度探讨国际化进入模式的有效性，以及不同进入模式对不同类型和属性知识获取、扩张以及对知识转化整合的影响；再次，基于"知识-能力"的关系范式，构建包括制度距离作用的跨国知识获取、知识转化整合与国际化能力提升演进路径和作用机制模型；最后，在国际化背景下对构念操作化测量及理论模型实证检验，据此揭示知识向能力转化的过程"黑箱"和能力跃迁机制，以及制度距离的扰动作用。期望拓展发展中国家企业国际化理论，为企业和政府制定完善国际化能力培育与提升策略和政策提供依据。

本项目从知识导向与制度距离双重视角，通过收集中国企业向发达国家实施国际化的一手和二手数据，部分数据通过内容分析法进行挖掘，运用结构方程模型和OLS回归等方法进行实证检验，揭示了国际化知识获取－知识转化整合－能力提升的过程，并检验了制度距离、文化-认知距离等的扰动作用。取得一批成果，在国际顶尖期刊、一流期刊和B类期刊各发表一篇，其中一篇获省部级科研成果一等奖，其它各类论文30余篇。.研究主要发现有：（1）在国际化进入模式上，客户参与不仅是国际化知识获取有效手段，还能够帮助企业应对“合法性压力”和“市场模糊性”问题，从而帮助企业克服“外来者劣势”。（2）新兴经济体在整合和规范与国际化相关的内、外部知识时，先前与发达国家市场合作伙伴的合作经验和知识积累有积极作用，使知识管理能更好地促进经验转变为某些技术或营销能力，有利于新兴经济体在发达国家市场竞争中取胜。（3）跨国距离带来企业间信任压力，直接影响企业国际化，通过元分析发现资产专用性、依赖、以及相互嵌入是企业间信任产生的基础，对建立企业间信任和国际化动态能力具有重要意义。（4）制度距离确实负向调节知识的转移与整合及创新能力的提升，而文化距离、地理距离、经济距离等具有双重效应，即国际化的二元性。（5）获得东道国市场知识的宽度与深度，对知识整合机制的使用从而形成营销动态能力的影响不一，只有市场知识的宽度影响显著；且市场知识宽度对知识整合机制使用的作用受正式化的调节，企业组织结构越正式化，其影响越强。.本项研究在企业国际化进入模式（客户参与、国际化广度与深度等）、国际化知识类型（市场知识的宽度与深度）、国际化能力界定（技术创新能力与营销动态能力）等方面的研究及研究结论丰富、拓展与深化了企业国际化理论，特别是对理解新兴经济体企业国际化有理论上的突破，并具有一定的实践意义。
