Summer Camp for young mathematicians, lead by Mathematical Tianyuan Funds Leading Group of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, is a quality-oriented education program specialized for high school students. The Summer Camp aims to broaden the students’ horizon, enhance their knowledge and interests of mathematics and develop their awareness of dedicating themselves to sciences. The basic purpose of 2014 Summer Camp for young mathematicians is to reveal the beauty of mathematics to the students, introduce the developments and trends of mathematics and build a communication platform for teenagers and mathematicians, allowing them to talk about their experience and thoughts about learning, teaching and studying mathematics. The Summer Camp had been held for several years and is well received. 2014 Summer Camp for young mathematicians is going be organized by the School of Mathematical Sciences, Peking University. It will be held at the affiliated middle school of Peking University from July 14 to July 24. 200 students, 30 team-leading teachers and 12 instructors will attend the camp, including teams from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao.
数学之星夏令营是由国家自然科学基金委员会数学天元基金学术领导小组领导的、为高中学生开设的暑假期间的数学素质教育活动。其目的在于扩大营员的视野、加强营员对数学科学的认识、培养他们对数学科学的兴趣、为科学事业献身的精神。 2014 数学之星夏令营的基本宗旨是: 展示数学美的若干方面、介绍数学前沿的动态和发展方向、畅谈数学工作者学、教、研的体会和感悟、构筑青少年学子与数学家近距离接触的平台。数学之星夏令营已经举办多次,收到了很好的效果和好评。 2014 数学之星夏令营将由北京大学数学科学学院和北京国际数学研究中心主办,于2014 年7月13日--7月23日在北大附中举行。规模是: 正式营员 200人,领队老师 30 人,讲课老师和助教 12 人。
