Numerical methods and theories are important research branches in Computational Mathematics. It will help researchers greatly to solve practical problem if they can grasp the relevant knowledge. To improve the research abilities of researchers and graduates, many universities and institutes initiated together the “Summer school of numerical methods and theories for partial differential equations”. Based on numerical methods and theories for partial differential equations, by opening some courses, symposiums, and some frontier seminars, they hope to cultivate talents with broad vision, strong innovation consciousness, deep mathematical foundation, solid computing ability and international influence in computational mathematics and applied mathematics, and promote the development of numerical methods and theories of partial differential equations at home and abroad. This summer school will open three courses: PDE constrained optimization and optimal control, Introduction to inverse problems and applications, Stochastic PDE, and Topics on finite element methods. In the final stages of this summer school, a frontier seminar will be organized. We will invite some related scholars to report the latest research results to provide a learning platform for young scholars to solid their foundation, widen their sight and improve their research level.
偏微分方程数值方法与理论是计算数学领域的重要研究方向。相关专业研究人员掌握好相关知识,对解决实际问题有重要作用。为提高国内科研人员、研究生的研究水平,由国内多所高校和研究所共同发起“偏微分方程数值方法与理论暑期学校”。旨在围绕偏微分数值方法与理论,通过开设暑期课程、专题讲座和举办前沿学术研讨会,探索青年人才培养的新模式,为国内培养研究视野宽、创新意识强、数学基础深厚、计算能力坚实、有国际影响力的计算数学与应用数学人才队伍做贡献,推动和促进国内外偏微分方程数值方法与理论的发展。本次暑期学校将开设《偏微分方程约束优化和最优控制》、《反问题及其应用导论》、《随机偏微分方程》、《有限元法选讲》四门课程。在暑期学校的最后阶段,将组织为期三天的学术前沿报告会。邀请多位相关领域学者参会,报告最新的科研动态和研究成果,为参加暑期学校的科研人员提供夯实基础、开拓视野、提高水平的学习平台。
