Glycophane(GP) is a new type of neutral,chiral, and water- soluble synthetic receptors which have hydrophobic cavities and show both cyclodextrin (CD) and cyclophane(CP) properties. In the project,four kinds of new GPs were synthesized by the cyclization of the sugar derivatives and aromatic segments. The sugars used are maltose, fucose,sucrose and chintobiose by degration of chitin. The disaccharides were converted the key intermediates, following a classical sequence in carbohydrate chemistry. The aromatic compounds used are hydroquinone, pyrocatechol, and terephthaloyl dichloride. Two new β-CDs derivatives were also synthesized from β-CD, in order to study the differences in complexing properties between GPs and CDs. Besides, 36 glycoside derivatives were prepared from mono-and disaccharides. Theglycosides will be used as guest molecular models to determine carbohydrate-carbohydrate interactions between the glycosides and GPs.The result show that by a rational change in either the carbohydrate or.the aromatic moieties, the synthetic stagy used in the research will allow the preparation of a variety of GPs with recognition sites comparable to those of CDs and CPs. The GPs will be used as a model receptor-substrate systems for study of interactions beteen oligosaccharides and lectins and antibodies and also for.glycolipid-glycolipid recognition and allow detailed analyses of the.solvent effects and intermolecular forces which control molecular interactions in aqueous solutions.
修饰糖番是一类兼有环糊精、环番和糖番结构与功能的新型合成主体分子。本项目研究甲基红修饰的糖番的合成及其在糖苷分子诱导下的变色反应,紫外吸收和核磁共振波谱特性。其研究成果将为糖-糖识别与作用的定性和定量分析测定提供简洁,科学的新方法,并为特种生物分子传感器的合成与设计提供可靠的实验基础。
