Under the current market environment with the rapid development of technologies and products, new ventures are facing a stronger perceived competitive tension than mature ventures. How to sharply capture information of market iterative innovation, accurately analyze and judge the changes in competition situation, and then build a reasonable response mechanism has become an urgent question for entrepreneurship research. Tracking and identifying innovation signals in the market can help new ventures recognize and predict possible competition trends, and then formulate effective competitive action timely. Informed by the perceived competitive tension perspective, we explore the content, characteristics and classification of market innovation signals which come from different sources. In view of the difference in aggressiveness and credibility of market innovation signals, we analyze how new ventures carry out competitive action according to the changes of perceived competitive tension. Also, we identify the contextual conditions of cooperative innovation and jugaad Innovation, and clarify their impact on the growth performance of new ventures. Overall, this project enriches the perspective and content of competitive rivalry research in the context of entrepreneurship, broadens the field and scope of research on new ventures’ competition action, and provides suggestions for enhancing the vitality of new ventures as well as improving the success rate of entrepreneurship activities in China.
在当前技术日新月异、产品加速更新的市场竞争环境下,新企业面临着比成熟企业更强烈的感知竞争张力,如何敏锐捕捉市场迭代创新信息,准确分析和判断其带来的竞争态势变化,并据此构建合理的回应机制成为创业研究亟待回答的问题。跟踪和识别市场中的创新行动信号,将有助于新企业洞悉和预测可能的竞争动向,针对性地制定及时有效的回应性竞争行动决策。基于此,本项目拟从感知竞争张力视角切入,通过探讨市场迭代创新行动的信号机制,挖掘不同来源市场创新信号的内容、特征及分类;针对市场创新信号在侵略性与可信度方面的不同,分析新企业如何依据其感知竞争张力变化开展竞争行动;从内外部组织和环境因素出发,探究新企业合作创新和节俭式创新这两种竞争行动选择的边界条件,并厘清二者对新企业成长绩效的影响。借此丰富创业情境下竞争对抗研究的视角和内容,拓宽新企业竞争行动研究的领域和范围,为增强新企业生命力和提高我国创业活动的成功率提供建议。
外部市场持续不断的变化影响着创业企业竞争行动的选择,本项目围绕创业企业如何识别市场迭代变化并做出合理回应来开展研究。首先,重点分析外部市场的变化和创新更迭对创业企业成长带来的影响;其次,结合内外部组织和环境因素,探究创业企业合适的竞争行动及选择机制,并建立创业企业在复杂多变环境下构筑生存力和竞争力的理论框架;最后,通过对创业企业和创始人团队进行问卷调查及数据分析,厘清创业企业竞争行动的影响效果和作用机制。结合以上研究内容,本项目已基本达到研究目标,较好地完成项目并取得了一定理论研究成果,包括在国内外权威期刊发表论文多篇,计划出版学术专著多部,编写的教学案例被权威案例库收录,培养多名硕士研究生等。本项目不仅深化了创业企业竞争战略的相关研究,开辟了创业研究新视角,且提炼出的规律和结论对提高我国创业活动的成功率及创业企业生命力具有重要价值。
