The relationship between information and communication technologies and urban residents' behaviors is an important proposition in the field of urban geography. The rapid development of mobile information technologies has significantly changed residents’ daily consumption, leisure and entertainment and other daily activities, which further accelerates the interaction and integration of physical and network virtual spaces. The improvement of affordable housing estates and their residents, which are the spatial representation of urban poverty, highly depends on the in-depth exploration of the daily activities of residents and their spatial selections. Taking the daily activities analysis of residents in affordable housing estates as the beginning, the project adopts the methods of the questionnaire survey, activity log, and daily activity monitoring to collect data, and then constructs the theoretical framework of interaction mechanism of daily activity virtual-physical spaces of residents to investigate its impact mechanism. There are four parts in this study. Namely, first, building an analytical framework on the interaction of daily activity virtual-physical spaces of residents living in affordable housing estates; second, identifying the interaction characteristics of daily activity virtual-physical spaces of residents, and investigating the relationship between residents’ daily activity space and the living environment; third, exploring the pattern, process and impact mechanism of interaction; fourth, based on the simulation of virtual-physical interaction of daily activities of residents, countermeasures are put forward. This project re-combs the logic of urban space from the perspective of urban residents, and conducts an in-depth analysis on the spatial rules of residents' activities in the information era, and can provide policy reference for the country to implement the affordable housing policy and to improve the built environment of affordable housing estates.
