A novel reductive coupling reaction of carbonyl compounds has been studied in this research project. It is found that in the presence of tin and chlorotrimethylsilane, aromatic aldehydes or ketones undergo facile reductive coupling with concomitant etherification with alcohols to provide pinacol diethers in excellent yield. A possible mechanism for this reaction has been postulated based on the experimental results. The application of this reaction in organic synthesis has also been investigated. A convenient method of construction of functional pinacol diethers has been developed.
金属锡作用下,羰基化合物偶联形成频哪醇二醚是本项申请先期工作中发现的一类新兴有机反应。本课题拟从反应机制,合成应用等方面对此反应进行深入的研究,解释该反应又别与羰基化合物其他类型偶联的本质原因;并探索将该反应作为合成取代冠醚及其前体的简便方法。.
