Core cross-linked star (CCS) polymers with a large number of arms connected to a densely cross-linked core, which is much smaller than the dimension of the arm, are an important class of star polymers.CCS polymers have been applied in many areas due to their compact structure,core-shell isolation and many surface functional groups.In this proposal, we plan to investigate novel methods to efficiently produce CCS polymers using RAFT-mediated heterogeneous polymerizations. Specifically, we will develop a quasi one-pot approach to make water-soluble CCS polymers, which will involve the synthesis of arm polymers in homogeneous aqueous solution, followed by cross-linking the arm polymers into CCS polymers in heterogeneous polymerization system using water as the dispersant.We will also develop heterogeneous polymerization methods to efficiently produce mikto arm CCS polymers. After well-defined CCS polymers are successfully prepared, we will investigate their applications in bioimaging and drug delivery,as emulsifiers in Pickering emulsion,as macromolecular RAFT agents in heterogeneous polymerization,in self-assembly and as building blocks in the construction of three dimensional networks.
核交联星型聚合物是一种重要的高分子构型,具有数目众多的高分子臂与表面功能团,在很多领域有广泛应用。本申请书拟研究通过RAFT异相聚合制备核交联星型聚合物的方法,包括准一锅法,即在水中通过均相聚合制备所需高分子臂与异相聚合制备核交联星型聚合物;发展通过异相聚合高效制备核交联杂臂星型聚合物的方法。研究所制备的核交联星型聚合物在成像与载药、乳化剂、异相聚合的RAFT试剂与稳定剂、自组装、以及三维网络结构的构筑单元等方面的应用。
发展了一系列的通过RAFT异相聚合高效制备低分散度的核交联星形高分子的方法,解决了均相RAFT聚合制备核交联星形高分子存在的制备效率低、高分子臂转化率低、制备时间长、分子量分布不均匀等缺点。制备了一系列不同组分与性质的星形高分子,研究了星形高分子在纳米沉淀、乳化、复合凝胶等领域的应用。
