With the improvement of public mathematical literacy, the work of high-level mathematical culture and popularity have become very necessary and urgent. Based on the present situation of popular science books publishing, the project is divided into two parts: First, we intend to proceed from mathematics and its application as a whole, and write a monograph "Mathematics——A Promising Area".Mainly introduce the mathematicians’ career and way of thinking, mathematical education, explore the intersection in mathematics also with the group of relative discipline. Easily introduce the background of the relative knowledge and the key thoughts and methods of mathematics, and explain the important role of mathematics in scientific and technological development as well as social progress.Second, we want to focus on abstract algebra which was formed in the early 20th century, and write a monograph "Abstract Algebra——the Paradise of Structure". We intend to start from the view of structure,with the integration of the applicant's years of mathematical history research experience , unify abstract algebra by structure, focus on mathematical thought and historical detail, put abstract to concrete. This project highlights the unity of mathematics, will be certain meaningful in stimulating public enthusiasm for mathematics, and enhancing the national overall quality.
随着公众数学素养的提高,高层次的数学文化和普及工作已经变得十分必要和迫切。基于目前科普著作的出版现状,本项目的研究分为两个部分:首先,我们拟从数学及其应用整体出发,写作一部《数学:大有可为》的科普专著。主要介绍21世纪数学家的职业、数学家的思考方式、数学教育,探讨数学内部以及数学与相关学科群的交叉融合,深入浅出地介绍相关知识背景和其中的数学思想、方法,阐释数学在科技发展乃至社会进步方面的重要作用。其次,欲集中探究抽象代数这门20世纪初形成的学科,写作一部《抽象代数:结构的乐园》。我们拟从结构的观点出发,融入申请人多年来的数学史研究心得和体会,用结构的观点重新梳理抽象代数,注重数学思想和历史细节,把抽象变为具体。本项目突出数学的统一性,对于激发公众的数学热情,提升全民整体素质有一定的意义。
本项目对于激发公众的数学热情,提升全民数学素养有一定的意义。项目的研究成果主要是两部著作,第一部为《数学:大有可为》,主要介绍21世纪数学家的职业、数学家的思考方式、数学教育,探讨数学内部以及数学与相关学科群的交叉融合,阐释数学在科技发展乃至社会进步方面的重要作用。第二部为《历史与结构观点下的群论》,这部著作从历史与结构的观点出发,融入了申请人多年来在数学史研究上的心得与体会,注重数学思想和历史细节,把抽象变为具体。除此以外,项目组还撰写了若干科普文章,圆满地完成了研究任务。
