Nowadays, the emphasis of study on distance education is still on how to breakthrough the spatio-temporal restriction of traditional teaching. Although it has solved the two basic problems of distance education in certain degree, i.e. "when" and "Where". However, the two other key issues, "What" (the content of learning) and "How" (the strategy of learning), haven't been studied. Therefore, the concept of Individual and Interactive Virtual Collaborative Learning Environment (VCLE) is proposed, its purpose is to provide a self-adaptive, individual and interactive multimedia learning environment over network for the distributed pupils. The VCLE has the features of individuation, interaction, collaboration and virtual. The contents of our research include the related theories, the methods of modeling, mechanisms as well as corresponding implement technologies etc. As a cross-disciplinary project, our research should make use of multiple technologies synthetically, such as multimedia, network, human-computer interaction, virtual reality and intelligent CAI and so on, on the other hand, our research should be based on the cognitive psychology, synergenics and computer science. We are sure that this research will not only lead to new contribution to the theory of network education, but also produce good social benefit as well as economic benefit.
以认知心理学和协同学习指导,研究个性化互动式虚拟协同学习环境的建模理论和方法,以及协同教学中的管理策略和基于Agent的实现技术,并应用于实际。本项目的特点和创新在于通过学科交叉和融合的方法研究个性化互动式虚拟协同学习环境的建模,这不仅有利于建立该领域的理论和方法,而且还可以推动远程教学向纵深发展。
