It is very important to prepare nanostructure and to study its special properties. Supported by the project (No. 20073011) of Division of Chemistry of NSFC, three parts work have been done in which the first one is the electrochemical studies for gold electrode modified by self-assembled monolayers. It is proposed that the characteristic of pinhole-free SAM-modified gold electrode in solution of Fe(CN)63-/Fe(CN)64- mainly belongs to the resistance of the self-assembled monolayer itself. .The second part is photoelectrochemical behavior of the electrodes of nanopartical TiO2 composite porous film on the substrate of Au and ITO. An obvious anodic photocurrent was observed for the composite Au/TiO2 electrode under a green laser ( 532 nm ). In the same way, the electrode of nanothin film of TiO2 was prepared by electrodeposition method on ITO surface. Its electrochemical behavior and photocatalysis characterize and light-induced hydrophilicity of ITO/ TiO2 under UV illumination were investigated. A new oxidative peak was observed by the method of cyclic voltammetry when the TiO2 electrode was illuminated under a 253.7nm light. It is proposed that there are two photoelectrochemical processes for TiO2 electrode under UV Illumination. It is assumed that the change of hydrophilicity of the films was related with the slow process when the film was irradiated by UV light. Besides, transparent nano-scale titanium dioxide thin films were prepared by the sol method at room temperature on glass substrate. A patent was applied because it is a new method for self-cleaning glass preparation..In the third parts, anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) was prepared and the nano-size Ag and PPy fiber were prepared use AAO as a template. It is a base for our further studies..
