High precision automatic filling system and automatic suction system are build, and high-speed camera is used to detect the die filling process, so that macroscopic mechanism of iron-based powder filling from feeding shoe to narrow cavity will be revealed; At the same time, the force and motion models of iron-based powder are established in three dimension and the DEM-CFD coupling method is used to simulate the die filling process to study the microscopic mechanism of iron-based powder moving from a feeding shoe to a suction narrow cavity..Preliminary work is good, Mechanisms of die filling are revealed, as well as, innovative experiment and numerical simulation methods are formed. The research methods of powder metallurgy of near net shape are enriched. This promotes the application and development of near net shape new process of powder metallurgy.
