The highly competitive nature of business in a global market economy is forcing companies to make continuous efforts to leverage their product innovation in order to maintain their competitive edge. However, design of an innovative product always starts with incomplete knowledge about the final product. In order to guarantee the quality of design, new knowledge should be acquired and integrated with the initial incomplete knowledge, thus the incomplete knowledge about the design evolves as it progresses from the conceptual design stage to a more detailed design. Therefore, the design of innovative product is done through rich flows of knowledge from multiple sources in the environment of distributed knowledge. In this project an effort has been made to represent design knowledge using an extended Function-Behavior-Structure framework. Then, an approach is proposed to model function, behavior, and structure and constraint knowledge. A design synthesis approach has been proposed for evolution of a product from the initial functional specification to design solutions. The proposed design synthesis method is a mapping from the functional requirements to functional components, with multi-stage constrained optimization during stages of design evolution. A state-space model based method for integration of behavioral knowledge is established. Design solutions can be verified and validated using the presented method. A prototype of the platform supporting effective knowledge flow in the environment of distributed knowledge is developed. The effectiveness of the proposed theory and method has been illustrated with two industry design examples.
传统的创新设计研究由功能驱动,在得到功能实现方案后,还需对行为进行预测以确认方案是否可行。在多学科环境下,设计者通常不具备多领域知识,难以获得多学科系统的功能实现方案和对多学科系统进行行为预测。利用分布式知识资源进行集成创新是实现产品创新的有效途径。针对上述问题,本课题基于集成创新思想,开展功能知识与行为知识建模、综合方法以及功能实现方案的行为预测方法研究,并以企业典型产品为例,开发原型系统软件,进行实证研究。针对功能实现方案求解,研究包含语义关联关系的功能知识表示方法、基于产生式规则和功能组件接口属性约束匹配的功能知识综合求解方法。针对功能实现方案的行为预测,研究基于本体建模和行为属性配置相结合的行为知识建模方法、基于Agent感知-作用的功能实现方案行为知识综合求解方法、基于广义状态方程的功能实现方案行为预测方法;开发相应的原型软件为功能实现方案求解及其行为预测提供知资源。
激烈的市场环境要求企业快速开发创新产品,而设计师一方面不具备多领域知识,另一方面存在思维惯性,难以获得多学科系统的创新方案。利用分布式知识资源进行集成创新是实现产品创新的有效途径。实际上,产品创新设计通常由功能所驱动,在得到功能实现方案后,还需对行为进行预测以确认方案是否可行。针对上述问题,本项目基于集成创新思想,开展设计概念认知及过程建模研究,进行功能知识与行为知识建模、综合方法以及功能实现方案的行为预测方法研究,开发原型系统软件,并以机电产品、摩擦学系统设计以及医疗器械为对象进行应用研究。本项目研究所提出的理论方法已开发出二款机电产品,所开发的软件系统已在企业获得应用;所得到的理论研究成果已用于设计类课程教学。
