Based on the verifying the existing of non-nuclear DNA binding proteins in skeletal muscle sarcoplasmic reticulum, the structure and function of non-nuclear DNA binding proteins were investigated.The effect of sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ transpot(including uptake and release)and calcium homeostasis with the binding of the protein and extrinsic DNA was firstly tested. The mechanism was estimated.The physiological and pathophysiological significance of the protein was illuminated.
