Abstract There are huge informations in the Process industrial system which is more complex. It is very important to analyze, estimate and optimize the system by using the technology of the knowledge discovery in database.This project deals with process system engineering, computer science and technology, automation and management engineering. Combining the theory research with simulation experiment and industrial practise, we study on the decision-making tree, rough set, association rule, artificial neural network, and genetic algorithm as well as their synthesis application methodology.Then the novel algorithm and application method are proposed to discovery knowlodge in the production information and management information. The research results shown that the data mining techniques are applicable to the industrial production and management problems. Clearly, that is also applicable to the real-time information estimation and fail diagnosis in the process industry.
