The core problem of the Cyberspace Security lies in information security, while the theory and technology of cryptography are the key points to information security. At present, most of the cryptographic theory and the design methods are based on Mathematics and some related disciplines. Therefore, for developing the theory and practice of information security, besides the technical level, the support of mathematics and other related natural sciences are the fundamental guarantee to improve the innovation and independence for the development of information security in China. In order to strengthen the professional education of information security and related fields in mathematics for postgraduate, to promote the academic exchanges among the postgraduate and to improve the education quality for postgraduate, we will hold the Summer School with the subject “Basic Mathematics in Cryptography” at He Xi University in August 2018. We will invite some well-known experts and scholars in the domains of mathematics and information security to offer the following 5 specialized high-quality courses: "modern cryptography", "advanced combination", "finite field", "elliptic curve" and “algorithmic number theory”. The students could deepen the professional knowledge, strengthen the basic skill and improve the ability of scientific research and creativity after the training. During this summer school, we will also organize around 10 academic reports made by those outstanding scholars home and abroad in the field of cryptography in order to broaden the academic vision for the postgraduate.
网络空间安全的核心问题是信息安全,而密码理论和技术是信息安全的关键。目前大部分的密码理论与设计方法都是建立在数学及其相关学科上的。因此,发展信息安全,除了技术层面之外,数学和其它自然科学的支撑是提高我国信息安全创新性和独立自主性的根本保证。为加强我国数学学科信息安全相关方向研究生的专业教育,促进研究生学术交流,提高研究生培养和研究质量,我们将于2018年8月在河西学院举办《密码学中的数学基础》暑期学校,将邀请国内外知名专家学者为数学信息安全方向研究生开设《现代密码学》、《高等组合学》、《有限域》、《椭圆曲线》和《算法数论》等5门高质量强化专业课程。通过学习,使学生能够深化所学专业知识,并有助于强化青年学生的基础和提升科学研究创新能力。在此期间同时安排了10个左右的国内外密码领域的杰出学者做学术报告,以开阔研究生学术视野。
