The genus, Adenophora Fisch.(Campanulaceae), is perennial herbs and important Chinese tradition medical resources, comprising about 60 species with centre in China. Due to the complex morphological variation and overlap geographic distribution, the classification of Adenophora is very difficult. DNA barcoding provides informative taxonomy standards, and has become an effective tool for species identification. Based on mulitiple samples, we will carry out DNA barcoding study of Adenophora by combining standard with specific DNA barcodes, to identify and define species, solve taxonomically difficult problem, and built a standard DNA barcode database for Adenophora. Meanwhile,we will construct a phylogenetic tree of Adenophora with standard and specific DNA sequences to reconstruct the phylogenetic relationships of different Adenophora species. China is very rich in Adenophora plant resources. DNA barcoding can be used for quick and accurate identification of the original plant for traditional Chinese medicine, which will guarantee the quality and safety of the traditional Chinese medicine, and provide molecular evidences for the discussion of Adenophora species phylogeny, speciation, and evolution patterns.
沙参属(Adenophora)为桔梗科多年生草本属,主要分布于东亚,全世界约有60种,中国有38种,属重要的药用植物类群。由于本属植物经历的进化机制复杂,形态性状表达不稳定,种间地理分化不明显,是分类学研究的疑难类群之一。本项目以沙参属为研究对象,以多样本为基础,采用通用标记与专一性DNA片段相结合的方法,开展沙参属的DNA条形码研究。一方面对该属的物种进行鉴定和划分,解决分类学疑难问题,并建立DNA条形码标准数据库;另一方面基于沙参属DNA条形码序列构建系统树,重建该属不同物种间系统发育关系。我国沙参资源丰富,利用DNA条形码技术可实现对中药原植物的快速准确鉴定,对于保障中药的质量与安全具有重要意义,同时也为探讨沙参属物种亲缘关系、物种形成以及进化等问题提供重要依据。
