With the rapid development of mobile communication technology, more and more public have been exposed to the mobile phone radio frequency electromagnetic fields (RF EMF) over the last three decades, thence the possible health effects of exposure to RF EMF utilized in mobile telephony has become a public health problem. Some epidemiological studies have indicated that long term exposure to RF EMF may lead to a moderate increase of risk of developing certain types of brain cancers. Based on this, IARC classified RF EMF as a 2B possible carcinogen to humans. Since DNA is the most important genetic material, which plays an important role in starting the majority of cancers, the effect of DNA damage in RF EMF has become the key scientific issues in the health risk assessment. As an "weak" environmental physical factor, the biological consequences of mobile phone radio frequency electromagnetic fields should be the long-term cumulative effects. Based on previous studies, we designed to adopt the more sensitive method γH2AX foci formation and mobile phone RF EMF sensitive cell-HSF to investigate the genetic toxicity, the possible mechanisms and the noise magnetic fields interference of the long term exposure, so as to provide evidence for the health hazards, mechanism and protection of electromagnetic fields.
随着移动通信技术的飞速发展,公众越来越多地暴露于射频电磁场环境中,因此移动电话对人体的可能健康影响已成为当今社会的公共卫生问题。有流行病学调查结果显示移动电话的长期使用可增加某些脑瘤的发生率,基于此,2011年国际癌症研究机构将射频电磁场定义为人类可疑致癌原。DNA是生物体最重要的遗传物质,DNA的损伤在肿瘤的发生、发展中起着重要的起始和推动作用。因此电磁场对DNA的损伤效应成为其健康风险评估中的关键科学问题。移动电话射频电磁场属于环境"弱"作用物理因素,其生物学后果的发生应该是长期暴露的累积效应表现。本项目将在以往研究的基础上,采用DNA双链断裂的早期、敏感指标γH2AX免疫荧光实验,以射频电磁场敏感的人皮肤成纤维细胞作为研究对象,检测射频电磁场长期暴露的遗传毒性及相关效应,并探索效应发生可能机制,同时观察噪声磁场的干预作用,从而为电磁场健康危害、机制研究及防护提供证据。
