There are a considerable number of intermediate mass black holes (IMBHs; M_BH < 10^6 solar mass) actively accreting at the centers of (dwarf) galaxies in the local Universe, manifesting themselves as active galactic nuclei (AGNs). But little is known about their accretion mode(s), the cold gas content of their host galaxies, and the possible physical connection(s) between the two. To address these issues, taking the advantage of the domestic telescopes such as FAST, Delingha 13.7 m and the Lijiang 2.4m optical one as well as international large radio facilities, we propose to conduct the following investigations. 1. Census the cold gas (HI and CO) properties in the IMBH sample systematically for the first time, and then test the two fueling modes proposed by Kauffmann & Heckman (2009) for local Seyfert galaxies --- particularly explore the relationship between M_HI/M_* and L/L_Edd in IMBH AGNs. 2. Census the surprising emission-line outflows on galactic scales in IMBH AGNs for the first time, statistically analyze the possible correlations between outflow properties and various host-galaxy properties (e.g., the parameters of the aforementioned cold gas content), and try to explore the two-way connections between IMBH AGNs and their host galaxies. 3. Measure the physical parameters of the AGN outflow and its feedback to the galaxy (e.g., the injection rate of kinematic energy and mass loss rate), at least for several IMBH AGNs. 4. Try our best to propose radio telescope arrays such as ALMA to observe gas kinematics with a high spatial resolution, aiming at finding out observationally the concrete, ‘microscopic’ processes of the two-way connections between IMBHs and their host galaxies.
目前已发现数目可观的质量小于百万太阳质量的中等质量黑洞活动于近邻(矮)星系中心(IMBH AGN),但我们对它们的吸积模式、寄主星系冷气体成分、以及两者的物理联系知之甚少。我们将立足于FAST、德令哈、丽江2.4米等国内望远镜,并积极使用国际大型射电观测设施,开展如下研究:1.第一次系统性普查IMBH寄主星系的HI和CO冷气体,并检验AGN燃料供给的两种模式(Kauffmann & Heckman 2009;特别是M_HI/M_* 与L/L_Edd的关系);2.第一次系统性普查IMBH AGN中令人惊奇的星系尺度发射线外流现象,并统计分析外流与寄主星系性质(例如冷气体参数)的相关性,探索IMBH与寄主星系的双向联系;3.至少在若干个源中,测量外流及其反馈的物理参数(例如动能注入率和质量损失率);4.尝试申请ALMA等射电阵列开展高空间分辨的气体运动学观测,发现黑洞—星系双向联系的具体过程。
