Based on the investigation of representations of algorithm, program on the top system level and the relation to their architecture on chip and their design and synthesis methodology, we established an virtual embedded CPU machine based hardware/software codesign platform. With the application target to the design of media video and audio decoder and digital transmission chip, the real time operating system for the platform and SoC, the retargetable compiler for the target machine, the data transfer bus and its management are investigated for their partition and verification methodology by hardware /software codesign, and prototype of CPU and DSP soft core have been written in this purpose. The theoretical result and hardware software codesign platform have already been applied in DSP core study in 863 project, compiler for industry 16 bit DSP and media video/audio decoder and digital transmission chip design.
近两年来软硬件协同设计得到了学术界和工业界的重视,民为研究热点.本项目结合编译技术,计算机体系结构设计技术以及超大规模集成电路技术,在较抽象层次上深入探讨系统芯片集成的软配件协同设计方法和工具,其研究成果可以有效用于各应用领域中的嵌入式芯片设计,缩短芯片系统的设计周期,提高芯片的市场竞争力.
