An experimental set of bistation digital photograph system with a short baseline ,that acquires and processes dual synchronous digital cloudy images at real time, has been developed for observing the wide-band or spectral luminance distribution in different directions of the cloudy sky . On the basis of researching deeply the uncertainty measuring the sky luminance distribution with digital photography, an approach to the optical characteristics calibration of the CCD camera system and a self-controlling technique digital camera exposure and as well a method eliminating the effects of the system noises and stray light superposed on the effective signal are presented to ensure the correct mean level of given digital image pixel with high confidence. There are 5 science papers published and two computer softwares copyright approved..The experiments observing and valuating cloud height and types have been conducted, acquired data are yet in analyzing, including the alculation of systematic errors caused by istation direction angles and comparison to Lidar cloud height .
