Mountain fronts, topographic transition zones between mountains and plains, with landscape assemblage of the escarpments, the streams that dissect them, and the adjacent pediment landforms, are very important and attractive study areas of active tectonic geomorphology. This program, selecting the northwest front of the Zhongtiaoshan Mountains, located in the south of the Shanxi Graben Systems, studies the typical tectonic landforms in an extensional mountain front. The main research contents include: (1) at long time scale, study the geomorphic surfaces, including uplifted piedmonts, river terraces of valleys in mountain, comparing with the researches on the sediments in basin, to analyze the uplift and faulted down rates alone the Zhongtiaoshan fault. (2)At intermediate time scale, study the equilibrium between the rates of faulted down and sedimentation in Yuncheng salt lake basin, and the rates of denudation in Zhongtiaoshan Mountains and deposition on alluvial fans in the Yuncheng basin, since the Last Glaciation. (3) At short time scale, study prehistoric fault slip events, including the locations, timing, reoccurred intervals, and slip rates in the north and northwest fonts of the Zhongtiaoshan Mountains. (4) Evolution of tectonic landforms and their response of landforms to climatic changes and tectonics. This research will strengthen the quantitive research on the tectonic geomorphologic study in this area, improve the tectonic geomorphologic research level of the Shanxi Graben System, and supply scientific clues to assessment seismic risk and benefit city planning in this area.
山麓是山地与平原的过渡地带,包括断层崖,切割断层崖的河流,及毗邻山麓面的地貌组合,是活动构造地貌学研究的重点和热点地区。本项目选择山西地堑系中条山西北麓研究典型拉张山麓构造地貌,重点研究内容包括:(1)长时间尺度上研究中条山北麓地区的地貌面,包括山麓剥蚀面,山前台地面,冲沟阶地面的形态与发育年龄,与盆地中沉积地层进行对比,分析不同时段山地抬升与盆地下陷的速率变化;(2)中时间尺度上研究末次冰期以来运城盐湖断陷速率与沉积速率之间,中条山侵蚀速率与山麓冲积扇堆积速率之间的平衡关系;(3)短时间尺度研究中条山西北麓断层史前活动事件,时间,复发间隔,活动速率等;(4)综合研究中条山西北麓构造地貌时空演变及其对气候变化与构造活动的响应规律。本项目的研究,对于加强关于山西地堑系构造地貌的定量研究,探讨山西地堑系构造地貌发育的基本规律具有重要的理论意义,对研究区地震危险评价和城镇规划有一定实际意义。
本项目选择山西地堑系中条山北麓,开展了典型拉张山麓构造地貌研究。重点在以下几个方面取得了进展:(1)长时间尺度上研究中条山北麓地区的地貌面,唐县期山麓剥蚀面,形态与发育年龄,与盆地中沉积地层进行对比,分析不同时段山地抬升与盆地下陷的速率变化;(2)中时间尺度上研究末次冰期以来中条山的抬升与冲沟下切速率之间的平衡关系;(3)短时间尺度研究中条山西北麓断层史前活动事件,时间,复发间隔,活动速率等。培养了2名博士研究生和两名硕士研究生,发表了9篇学术论文,基本完成了预期研究任务。本项目的研究成果,对于加强关于山西地堑系构造地貌的定量研究,探讨山西地堑系构造地貌发育的基本规律具有重要的理论意义,对研究区地震危险评价和城镇规划有一定实际意义。
