Changes of the brain contains of dynorphin, enkephalin, b-endorphin and melatonin in season and hibernation were studied in the ground squirrels. It demonstrated that there were seasonal changes in the brain tissue of the ground squirrels. The function of dynorphin system increased in hibernating season, there were also changes in the functions of enkephalin and endorphin systems. We further found that there were strong changes in dynorphin system during hibernation. The results supported new data for the study of the neural mechanisms of hibernation.

本项目研究黄鼠脑内强啡系统(强啡肽及其受体)和褪黑素在对冬眠有重要影响的生态因子(季节性和光照)作用下参与冬眠发生和维持的神经机制,脑内强啡肽系统与裉黑素之间的相互关系,以及人工诱发冬眠时黄鼠脑内强啡肽系统的功能状态,以上研究将揭示冬眠发生的神经机制。为在医疗和航天中模拟冬眠这一意义重大课题提供新的思路和途径。
