The metal ligand charge transfer compounds possess the properties of electro- luminescence and photoelectric- conversion were designed and synthesized. Their photoelectric and excited state properties as well as the relationship between the properties and the molecular structure were investigated. A series of significant results were obtained. (a) 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phen was selected for electro- luminescence study, a saturated red emission at 630nm was observed according to analyzing orbital energy of MLCT, d-d* and p-p*. (b)The photocurrent of 19.6mA/cm2 and the photovoltage of 720mV for trans-N3 dye sensitized nano-structured TiO2 solar cell were first reported. The efficiency is 8.6%, which even higher then that of cis-N3 22%. (c) The excited state and the therapeutic properties of Hypocrellins and their cyclodextrin modified derivatives were studied.(d)The stability of the photoelectric materials was eveluated also.20 scientific papers were published in above four aspects. An invited lecture was given at 13th Workshop on Quantum Solar Energy Conversion (QUANTSOL), March 10-17,2001, Kirchberg/Tyrol, Austria. Two patents were applied in China. The SCI citation is 14 times from January of 2000 to May of 2002 in the aspect of photoelectric conversion. The experimental results provide impotent information for design and synthesis of electroluminescence and photoelectric conversion from both theory and application. In addition, a good beginning of inorganic biochemistry studying was established from the investigation of hypocrellin and their metal complex derivatives

设计合成具有光电转换和发光性质的两类新型配合物。用稳态和瞬态光谱手段研究它们在溶液中与原型器件等微环境中的激发态性质,包括电子转移,电荷分离,能量转递,激基缔合物生成,激发复合物生成等;测定它们的光电转换或发光性能,了解结构与性能间的关系,探索设计合成优良光电功能配合物的规律,为研制高效光电转换与发光器件提供科学依据。
