通货膨胀与企业行为:影响、作用机制及经济后果

Inflation is characteristic of modern economics. Inflation not only influences macro-economic development, but deeply influences firms' behaviors and performance. Based on our country-specific macro-economic development and situation background, this project investigates how the change of inflation impacts on firms' behavior and its transmission mechanism and economic consequence using normative research, survey research and empirical research methodologies. Specifically, we investigate (1) firms' reactions to the change of inflation and do some case studies; (2) how the behaviors of firms' inventory and cash holding react to expected inflation; (3) how the change of inflation impacts on firms' earnings quality; (4) the relationship between inflation and stock market returns based on firms heterogeneity. The survey research of our project enriches the relationship between inflation and firms' behaviors and how inflation impacts on earnings quality. The research on expected inflation and firms' behaviors provides evidences on the economic consequence of firms' behavior of expectation. Furhermore,the research of our project has important academic and practical implications on understanding inflation's micro transmission mechanism, and providing references to fight inflation in our country.

通货膨胀是现代经济的显著特征，它不仅影响着宏观经济发展，也将深刻影响企业的行为和经营业绩。本课题基于我国特定的宏观经济发展和制度背景，采用规范研究、实地调研和实证研究等方法，以通货膨胀波动为切入点对宏观经济政策与微观企业行为之间的互动关系进行探索性研究，研究通货膨胀的动态波动对企业行为的影响、作用机制以及所产生的经济后果。核心内容包括：通货膨胀对企业行为影响的实地调研、通货膨胀预期与企业存货调整行为、通货膨胀预期与企业现金持有行为、通货膨胀对会计盈余质量的影响、企业异质性、通货膨胀与股票市场回报等内容。本课题实地调研的成果将有助于我们更为深入地了解企业如何应对通货膨胀变化以及企业会计盈余质量如何受到通货膨胀的影响，而通货膨胀预期与企业行为的研究将提供企业预期行为的经济后果，另一方面本课题的研究成果对企业的经营管理具有重要的借鉴意义，同时对政府制定政策治理通货膨胀也具有一定的参考

本项目的研究目标是研究通货膨胀及其预期对企业行为的影响、以及潜在的经济后果，从项目的完成情况来看，近四年项目组的研究成果比较好地完成了当初设定的预期目标。项目组共计发表了13篇学术论文，其中12篇归属于项目负责人，包括一篇会计学顶级期刊、国际A类期刊2篇、《管理世界》论文1篇。通货膨胀是现代经济的显著特征，它不仅影响着宏观经济发展，也将深刻影响企业的行为和经营业绩。本项目基于我国特定的宏观经济发展和制度背景，采用规范研究和实证研究等方法，以通货膨胀波动为切入点对宏观经济政策与微观企业行为之间的互动关系进行探索性研究，研究通货膨胀的动态波动对企业行为的影响、作用机制以及所产生的经济后果。核心内容包括：通货膨胀预期与企业存货调整行为、通货膨胀预期与企业现金持有行为、通货膨胀幻觉的现实解释等内容。通货膨胀预期与企业行为的研究将提供企业预期行为的经济后果，本项目研究成果对企业的经营管理也具有重要的借鉴意义，同时对政府制定政策治理通货膨胀也具有一定的参考。
