The recent surge in demand for photonic components that meet economic criteria as well as technical requirements in the telecom and datacom industries has opened the door for novel technologies.that enable unique function and/or unconventional high-yield manufacturing without sacrificing high performance. Advance planar polymer technologies can fit the bill in every aspect. In this.project, five new fluorinated and chlorinated phthalazinone monomers and their nine polymers have been successfully synthesized. In addition, fluorinated poly(ether imide)s were also prepared for analyzing the effect of polymer’s structure on the.refractive index. The above polymers have high solubilities in several solvents such as chloroform, tetra-chloroethane and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, which is suitable for multi-coating 4.processing of polymer waveguide. Attractive properties are their.high thermal stabilities. The polymer glass transition temperatures.were above 240℃, and their decomposition temperatures were high.than 450℃ detected with a heating rate of 10℃/min in a nitrogen atmosphere. The polymers have high refractive indice more than 1.58 and a low water absorption rate of 0.3%. The analyses of optical loss of polymer in the view of polymer’s structure were done.in the condition of nowhere to measure in China. The research is benefit for the further development of phthalazinone-containing polymer for optical waveguide.
从分子结构设计出发、合成高折射率、低光损耗、高热光指数、易加工的系列含二氮杂萘酮联苯结构的新型耐高温聚合物,研究其结构性能关系,优化合成路线和工艺,筛选适宜材料制作光波导、光耦合器、光转换器、热光开关等光通信元件,研究成型加工技术,优化器件制作工艺。对于发展集成光路技术,进而实现全光通信具有重要学术意义和潜在经济价值。
