The CIE 1997 Colour Appearance Model ( CIECAM97s ) describes quantitatively human colour perception under different lighting and observing conditions based on physiological model. But CIECAM97s itself doesn't provide any uniform colour space for colour-difference evaluation. Without such a space, the calculated value of colour difference may not consistent with its perceived magnitude. According to synthesized data set of colour-difference evaluation collected by CIE TC 1-47, we deduced an uniform colour-appearance space UCAS based on CIECAM97s and its revised version CAM97s2 using optimization of parameters. In their uniformity of colour-difference perception the space excels both the CIE 1976 L*a*b* and two initial colour-appearance spaces proposed by M. R. Luo, but is close to the one defined by DIN99, according to the test and evaluation using synthesized statistical index PF'/3 and colour discrimination ellipses which is constructed in a column coordinate system of lightness J, redness-greenness a and yellowness-blueness b. The establishment of UCAS and its colour-difference formula provides an effective metric space for colour-difference evaluation under different lighting and observing conditions. It also lays the foundation of a new colorimetric system based upon colour appearance model. To match colour appearance for high fidelity of colour reproduction, the contribution could be applied to colour management system of modern information systems for colour-difference evaluation when the source image and its copy are displayed on different mediums or observed under different conditions.
本项目研究基于CIECAM97s色貌模型的颜色空间在色差知觉上的均匀性,包括色差不变性和嚷伞1狙芯慷杂诶┐笊材P偷挠τ梅段В朔﨏IE原有色度系统的缺陷,建立新的色度系统和色差计量标准,具有重要的理论和实际意义。在工业产品的色差评估和计量上有广泛的应用前景。
