Experimental Mechanics is a both basic and applied disciplines, and it is one of the three mean pillars of mechanics. In recent years, the rapid development of micro-nano science, new energy, biotechnology, advanced manufacturing and other high-tech areas presents lots of new challenges and new opportunities in the field of experimental mechanics. In order to develop the new trend in experimental mechanics, and to provide young scholars new opportunity for seeking cooperation, the "National Symposium on experimental Mechanics of young scholars" was jointly organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Committee of Experimental Mechanics, Chinese Society of Mechanics. The first and the second symposiums were already successfully held in Beijing and Xi'an in 2010 and 2012, respectively. All the participants had benefited a lot. Therefore, Tianjin University and Beijing Institute of Technology to apply to take the next (third) symposium. Several frontier research scholars in the field of experimental mechanics will be invited to review their new research progresses and look to the hot spots of the future developments. Meanwhile, about 30 outstanding young scholars (born after 1974) in this field will be invited to present their latest developments and recent cooperation intentions. All the participants together will be expected make a deep discussion on the development of experimental mechanics and growth plan of the young scholars.
实验力学是一门同时具有基础性和应用性的学科,是力学研究的三大支柱之一。近年来,微纳米、新能源、生物、先进制造等高新科技领域的迅速发展,给实验力学带来了挑战和机遇。为了就实验力学发展的新趋势以及所面临的挑战性科学问题进行深层次的探讨,并为青年实验力学工作者提供交流、寻求合作的机会,国家自然科学基金委员会数理科学部和中国力学学会实验力学专业委员会联合主办的“全国实验力学青年学者学术研讨会”已先后在北京和西安成功召开,参会的每位青年学者均获益匪浅。天津大学和北京理工大学申请承办第三届“探讨会”,拟邀请实验力学领域知名学者综述科研前沿进展、阐述学术思想理念、展望未来发展热点。同时,邀请30余名实验力学领域的优秀青年学者(40 岁以下)介绍各自研究最新进展和近期合作目标意向,并与特邀专家一起就实验力学的发展与队伍建设、青年人才的培养与成长规划等开展研讨。
由国家自然科学基金委员会数理科学部和中国力学学会实验力学专业委员会联合主办,天津大学和北京理工大学联合承办的“第三届全国实验力学青年学者学术研讨会”于2014年5月10-11日在天津市政协俱乐部成功召开。天津大学李家俊校长莅临会场并致欢迎辞,国家自然科学基金委员会主任杨卫院士作了重要讲话。基金委数理科学部孟庆国副主任、力学科学处詹世革处长、张攀峰项目主任全程参加了本次会议。会议特邀国防科学技术大学于起峰院士、北京大学方岱宁院士、天津大学亢一澜教授、北京理工大学胡更开教授做大会报告。34名实验力学青年学者分别在实验力学新方法、光测力学新进展、国际前沿科学问题的实验力学研究、国家重大工程中的实验力学问题、实验力学仪器研发、实验流体力学等六个主要方面,介绍各自研究方向、最新进展和学术成果。本次会议锐意创新,深入贯彻了基金委该系列会议的创办宗旨,营造了青年实验力学工作者深入交流、寻求合作的可持续性学术平台。
