Superconducting technology has important and wide application prospect. Compared with the low temperature superconducting materials, the high temperature superconducting materials have higher Tc and Hc, and have higher application value. As one of the important applications, hybrid superconducting magnet consisting of HTS coils and LTS coils nested may generate and maintain a high magnetic field more than 30T, which can provide a steady high magnetic field conditions for scientific research. The second generation high temperature superconducting tape YBCO has many advantages, so it has been selected as the preferred material in the high field region more than 20T. Our country has a certain foundation in YBCO tape preparation, at the same time, there are many units devoted to the study on the critical current and AC losses performance of YBCO. But the related research so far were limited to the self-field or low field conditions due to lack of high magnetic field conditions. The High Magnetic Field Laboratory of Chinese Academy of Sciences has constructed series superconducting magnet and high field water-cooled magnet devices, which brought new opportunity for the study on the critical current of superconducting tape YBCO in high magnetic field. This project will do the researches on the critical current performance in high magnetic fiield (≥20T ) using the above experimental devices. We believe that the results of the researches will not only establish the necessary technical basis for the development of high field superconducting magnet (≥20T ), and also promote the development of the YBCO superconducting technology and applications.
超导技术具有广泛的重要应用前景。相比低温超导材料,高温超导材料具有较高的Tc和Hc,具有更高的应用价值。作为重要应用之一,高温超导线圈和低温超导线圈嵌套组成的混合超导磁体有可能产生并维持30T以上的强磁场,可为科学研究提供稳态强磁场条件。二代高温超导带材YBCO具有多种优点,已成为20T以上高场区域的首选材料。我国在YBCO带材制备上已有了一定基础,同时已有多家单位针对其临界电流和交流损耗等特性开展了广泛研究,但由于缺乏强磁场条件,相关研究迄今仅限于自场或低场条件。中科院强磁场中心已相继建成系列超导磁体和高场水冷磁体装置,为研究YBCO超导带材在强磁场下的临界电流性能带来了契机。本项目拟利用上述实验平台开展强磁场下(≧20T)YBCO带材及其线圈的临界电流特性研究。相信其研究结果不仅为强磁场超导磁体(≧20T)的研制奠定必要的技术基础,还必将推动YBCO超导带材技术的发展和更加广泛的应用。
