The rice leaf roller Cnaphalocrocis medinalis (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) is an important migratory pest on rice, researching its migratory mechanism can promote us to developing new forecasting technologies and control strategies. At present, migrating insects migratory internal adjustment factor researches are focused on juvenile hormone (JH). It has been confirmed that juvenile hormone regulation of the migratory population differentiation and migration reproduction conversion in many insects. But if there has relationship between juvenile hormone synthesis pathway genes expression and migration is rarely reported, and we also know little about external environmental factors affect migratory and reproductive by regulating the expression of these genes.The project will clone genes in JH synthesis pathway of C. medinalis and identify key genes control JH synthesis by the temporal and spatial expression analysis. Then analyzed the differential expression of these key genes in the different migratory types of individuals and populations of different environmental factors processing, so to explore the action of JH biosynthesis in leaf roller migration. Meanwhile, through measuring the synthesis of vitellogenin to analyze these critical genes expression and migration reproductive conversion correlations. All the work can help us to further clarify the role of JH in insect migration.
稻纵卷叶螟是水稻上一种重要迁飞性害虫,对其迁飞机理的研究可以促进预测预报技术和新型防控方法的研究。目前,对迁飞昆虫迁飞内在调节因子的研究主要集中在保幼激素(JH)上,已经在许多昆虫中证实保幼激素主要调控迁飞种群分化和迁飞与生殖转换等。但是在迁飞昆虫中保幼激素合成通路相关基因表达与迁飞相关性研究鲜有报道,同时外部环境因子是否通过调控这些基因的表达而影响迁飞和生殖也缺少相关报道。本项目将在克隆稻纵卷叶螟JH合成通路相关基因的基础上,通过时空表达分析鉴定控制JH合成的关键基因。然后分析这些基因在不同迁飞类型个体和不同环境因子处理种群中的表达差异,探讨JH合成相关基因在稻纵卷叶螟迁飞中的作用机制。同时,通过卵黄原蛋白合成测定以分析这些关键基因表达与迁飞生殖转换的相关性,从而进一步阐明JH在昆虫迁飞中的作用机制。
