Based on the achievement of preceding funded research subject "The Simulation Method Integrate Qualitative Simulation with Quantitative Simulation", a new high-efficient algorithm of parallel qualitative simulation was put forward for medical diagnosis by electroencephalogram (EEG). A qualitative simulation model of brain waves put out by epileptics was constructed based upon the structure of double cells colony. In accordance with its characteristic of subsection, a simulation method PQSIM----integrated qualitative simulation with quantitative simulation was presented. The researchers did experiments by simulating brain waves put out by over thirty cases of partial epileptics, the results showed that the change tendencies of simulated electroencephalograms were consistent with real brain waves by and large. An improved qualitative simulation method Q2 was presented in order to solve problem of fixed time lag. A qualitative processing method was successfully proposed to deal with the experimental data flow of complex systems that were difficult to construct structural models. Furthermore, the researchers did dynamical calculations to EEGs that were the productions of human brains---a kind of nonlinear complex systems. Results of contrastive analysis between forty sots and normal persons showed that there were distinct differences between the both lies in two important indexes: stability and complexity. It also showed that different spirit activities caused different states of human brains. These research results lay a solid foundation for in-depth research in qualitative modeling and simulation of complex systems. Some of the aforementioned methods have had application in the fields of preventing and decreasing calamity and hydrology forecast and decision-making.,network safety and enterprise resource planning (ERP)
