The coherent de-dispersion pulsar machine is the key instrument in the pulsar observing system. Currently most such backends used in China are imported from USA, with a maximum observing bandwidth of 1.5GHz and the highest time resolution of a few microseconds. With this proposal we plan to research on key techniques of this kind of pulsar machine, including the real time coherent de-dispersion on wide-band signals, and the direct coherent de-dispersion on ultra wide-band signals, and the target is to master these techniques. The research will achieve performances that are comparable to or even better than that of the imported coherent de-dispersion pulsar machines, and realize the ultra high time resolution of 0.25 ns. The research will provide the technical base for developing China's 3GHz bandwidth coherent de-dispersion pulsar machines, as well as the sub nanosecond time resolution. Additionally, the product of the proposed research will improve the pulsar instrumentation research in China, and promote China's ultra high time resolution pulsar research.
相干消色散数字化终端是脉冲星观测系统的关键设备,国内目前使用的此类终端主要从美国进口,最大带宽为1.5GHz,最高时间分辨率为微秒量级;本项目计划重点突破宽带信号实时相干消色散、超宽带信号相干消色散等关键技术,实现的指标同等或略好于进口设备,并实现0.25纳秒时间分辨率,为我国研制3GHz级带宽的相干消色散数字终端、实现亚纳秒级时间分辨率脉冲星观测做技术准备;研究成果将有效提升我国脉冲星终端的技术水平,推动我国超高时间分辨率脉冲星观测研究进展。
